I posted a video interview where Bruce Clay said ranking was dead on 11-20-08. My Google Toolbar gave a PR of three on that page almost immediately, but I thought it was a fluke. Guess what? It hasn’t gone away. My home page has a 3 and my blog has a 3 and my SEM page has a 2. Over 400 pages indexed and my sitelinks where taken with the last update…but that page with a video that isn’t mine has a Google Toolbar PR of 3.
So, I think what I will do is mention Bruce Clay on each page and each blog post and see if my PR goes up for each page 
Maybe that is the key to helping pages do well! J/K, just a weird quirky thing I would mention.
I did mention Matt Cutts in that post, but I have mentioned him before and no PR for those pages
