We tell people over and over and over that when planning optimization for a site there is a lot of research and planning involved. We can’t just create an “App” or a program that is going to give you effective optimization. We have to really get to know an industry, talk with our clients, research (a lot) and then plan each and every page of a site.
If you see someone offering “Apps”...

Jeff and I were talking today about how many sites we have seen lately with “Flash Intros”. I thought people knew this was a thing of the past and that it did nothing to help them search engine wise. Sometimes I forget that not everyone knows what we do or pays attention to the SEO side of things.
Please get Rid of The Flash Intro
Most people are irritated when they have to watch a Flash Intro...

See video of the laptop first, if you would like.
I had to buy another laptop…I could start using them as wall art at this point, but back to the Lenovo. I am a research junkie, so choosing a laptop was not an easy task. Every laptop I thought I liked had things that people hated about it such as low battery life or it was heavy or it was slow. Obviously I work on the net and I can work 10 hour days. I...

CNN.com’s Tech section has a quiz called “Test You Techno-Jargon“. I am proud to say I got a 10 out of 10, but most Internet geeks would. I was shocked to see that they asked what “SEO” meant. My six year old knows, do you? You can take the quiz here http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/11/20/quiz.technojargon/index.html.

Recently, I was providing email marketing training to a client’s employee. This employee was savvy in marketing techniques and fully grasped the importance of a good email marketing program.
I always discuss the importance of how a properly optimized website and a good email marketing program complement each other. This employee was not aware of search engine optimization (SEO). Therefore, I took the time...

Out of all the meetings I have had the last few weeks one thing keeps repeating and I think it is important to share with you the things we evaluate before creating an Internet Marketing plan for a client. Your website is your foundation. It is like the concrete foundation of your house and is therefore critically important. Obviously your site needs to be planned out (and so does your optimization) because...

Just a short list. Feel free to add more…
You have looked at Facebook on your computer and your iPhone/smartphone at the same time.
You look at things and think “I should take a pic of this for Facebook” (We use to take pics for memories).
Sexual relations are not as important as they were due to Mafia Wars and Farmville.
Your top site for the latest news is Facebook.
You call your 80 year...

In the past few months we have had some interesting calls from competition pretending to be interested in our services. Funny thing is they give themselves away right off the bat. So here is some info for those callers….
We don’t answer your questions completely. We hold back because who knows if you really know what you are doing. Why would we give anything away?
As you go and trash our company...

SEO Aware has been and will continue to offer online marketing classes because if businesses want to stay open they will need to learn, and keep learning, effective marketing strategies that work! I don’t see this economy getting much better anytime soon and I know most smaller businesses cannot afford the traditional marketing methods they used before.
Example, met a man this week who paid a newspaper...

As a Christian I feel uncomfortable using the BS word, but there is no other, so here it goes.
Bottom line, do your job and if you can’t do it get out of the industry!
I may be a complete moron, but I really feel obligated to do a good job for my clients. In fact, in this economy I feel much more obligated because money is scarce for many businesses. Any money they choose to use on advertising is a risk,...
