Here is a terrible picture of where my traffic is from for this week
from Google Analytics
Try and see the little orange dots. Theses are cities my visitors are from. There have been several benefits for me and I have only been blogging for 2 months:
- I now know Jim Hedger–very cool.
- My main business site has seen a large increase in traffic and numerous jobs have come from this traffic. In a month I had 8 jobs at my other site due to this blog. I haven’t slept much in the last month due to this increase in work.
- I have learned a lot and I mean a lot. I had no idea why blogging was important before, but I know it now and I feel like a moron for not doing it sooner.
- I have met a lot of very nice people and some influential people as well.
- My clients, and potential clients, can read from my blog and see that I know what I am doing and I also think it helps them get to know me better.
- I have been able to help small businesses save money. This was my goal and I have gotten some emails telling me that some of my tips have really helped them save when they were trying to create a web site. This is perhaps the best benefit of all for me.
- It is boosted my self-esteem. I knew that I knew things, but sometimes I read my own blog entries and I am kind of impressed myself.
- I am making a little money with affiliates. Just a little right now.
- I now understand that blogs are a great resource for information. Experts in everything are giving people advice and information for free. I am constantly emailing blogs to people.
The benefits are fantastic. I see no negatives except sometimes when I have a lot of work I don’t have the time I want to give to the blog. If you haven’t started blogging consider it. It will help your business.🙂 😉
