As you can see I have ads on my blog. Something has to be put on that right side, right? And why not make money doing it? So, today I am going to tell you some options regarding affiliates.

LinkShare.com
is an affiliate program that allows you to place adds from so many companies, such as Apple, Macys, EBGames, CarsDirect, Register.com, Lego, DisneyShopping, Sharper Image, Office Deopt and many more. Basically, you sign up and look at the companies you would like to advertise on your blog/web site and you check a box to apply to become an affiliate. Sometimes you are automatically approved and other times you are not. On LinkShare.com
you have several options to choose from when advertising a company; you can choose text links/email links, banners, you can advertise a specific product and some companies allow you to advertise a store front (such as Great health and fitness products from The Sharper Image.
No matter what affiliate program you choose all the companies offer a different amount of commission/payments.
Google Adsense allows you to advertise content adds, a search box or you can put referral ads for Google AdSense, Google AdWords, Google Checkout, Google Apps, FireFox + Google Toolbar and/or Google Pak.
Commission Junction is pretty much the same as LinkShare.com except they have so many banners and text links to choose from it is crazy. Between these two sites you will find almost every large company you know of.
Text Link Ads is a great affiliate company that allows you to make good money. Check them out.
Becoming an Amazon Affiliate
is a fantastic idea and it brings in a great income. You can customize links and banners. You can choose specific products, create recommended product links (which I do), have search box links, text links and more. The Amazon Affiliate program is a great way to make money and customize the ads on your site.
So, there are the affiliate programs I choose to use and I think could be beneficial for your site or blog. Keep in mind that by adding one or two ads you can possibly pay all of your web related costs- hosting, advertising, etc.
