My income has increased by 34% since I started blogging. Your business will make money if you:
- Optimize For the Services/Products You Offer– If you use your services/products as keywords you are creating pages that will most likely bring in people that are looking for your services or products. If you are blogging about services you can discuss how the services will benefit the reader/client. If you are selling products it is much easier because you just blog about each product- all entries should include a link back to your business site. Also, use your location, business name and URL as keywords- SEOAware.com, Sarasota Florida, Panaca Writing & Design. You can add this to the bottom of posts and in the name of your blog and in the title of your RSS feed.
- Integrate Your Business Name Carefully– You want to create a page about your business, such as my business page. You can see that I have all of my services listed and many links back to main business site. This page has created another Google page one result that comes up when someone searches for my business name- it is #3 under my business site. I have optimized my services and my business name and it does bring me traffic. This traffic reaches my business site and I get a phone call or email; this means more money. Try to NOT over saturate your blog with your business name because readers won’t like it
- Blog With Authority- If you know your stuff you appear capable, educated in your field and even friendly, depending on how you write. Your blog can establish trust and this trust will give potential clients the push they need to contact you.
-
Educate Yourself and Your Potential Clients- You need to keep reading, keep learning and be driven to learn more. The more you learn the better you are. I post other bloggers’ articles on my blog that I think readers will benefit from. Why? Because I did and I want to share the wealth of knowledge.
- Get Published- I had 4 or 5 articles published on Site Pro News and this alone brought me business. Again, I look like I know my stuff when potential clients read these articles and you CANNOT underestimate how important this is. To get published you need to write something really great. You need to educate someone else; if you don’t have anything valuable to offer why should anyone publish you? What is funny is that every article that was published was inspired by something or someone. I wrote with a vengeance and those articles were appealing. (check your spelling)
These five tips are a major part of my marketing plan and it is paying off. I hope these tips will be beneficial to you.
