On September 4th I wrote about a little experiment I did where I discussed the Nick Hogan car accident on this blog. I posted the stats at the time, which were:

  • 5,012 new visitors that came to that article (the stats will probably change by tonight)
  • Over 50% visited more than 12 pages
  • My subscribers doubled
  • I have more members of my community and friends at BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog

Well, I check my stats almost everyday and look at where people came from and what they were looking for. I have, on average, 40 people a day coming here looking for the article on Nick Hogan or John Graziano. That is nuts.

Cornwall discusses another article which explains how using celebs in your headlines could bring in more readers. I believe my experiment relates. I am SOOOO tempted to discuss Britney losing custody of her kids, but it just doesn’t go here.

Anyway, check our CornwallSEO.com’s discussion. There are benefits traffic wise, but I don’t think any of the people that have read the article have contacted me for any of the services I offer.
